EAR-AER on energy policy at conference in Beirut, Lebanon, March 7, 2017

Board member and EAR-AER Co-Head Of Energy Department, Dr. Stephan Ressl has been invited to share his views on challenges towards a comprehensive energy strategy at the ”OIL & GAS LEBANON’S NATIONAL WEALTH – ROADMAP”, BEIRUT – LEBANON, March 7, 2017.

Although the Lebanese Republic is about to tender its off-shore blocks likely to hold natural gas reserves, the question of increasing decentralised energy generation, integrating volatile renewable sources and ensuring security of supply, becomes politically more and more prominent.

The event, which takes place under the auspices of the President of the Council of Ministers, H. E. Mr. Saad Hariri, is held once a year and constitutes a cornerstone of local energy political events.

The invitation of EAR-AER shows the augmenting role of local and regional solutions to the topic of energy policy.
