On Monday 13 December 2021-12 the Turkish organization of DEIK, well acquainted with EAR-AER organized a webinar with as title Net Zero Emission Plan and Afterwards Implications for Turkey & EU Energy Sector.
Our board member Louis Delcart was invited by DEIK to attend this interesting seminar under the stewartship of the Turkish Ambassador to the EU, HE. Mehmet Kemal Bozay and conducted by his energy Councilor Ms. Elik Atalay, Team Leader Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood DG Energy EU Commission, M. Nicolas Kuen, represented the EU.
Turkey was praised for its contribution to sustainable energy in the past years. An aspect that was particularly treated was the integration of hydrogen in the sustainable energy package. It was said that this last energy type was considered important for Turkey, especially if they wanted to ensure its energy supply. It was also indicated that the private sector could create interesting opportunities in that matter. Further speakers we noticed were M. Güldener Sonumut as representative of the media and M. Alpaslan Dilekçi of Baringa Partners.
