Our president was invited to participate in the SME2B Business Forum Europe 2024, “Building a European Economy of Trust,” organised by European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME, held on 3 September 2024 in Brussels.
“In the final months of the mandate of the last European Commission, the European economy faced worsening economic conditions, particularly in Germany and France. This economic downturn spurred a series of calls for reforms to safeguard wealth and regain competitiveness. Notably, European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME’s Manifesto for a Realistic Industry Policy in June 2023, Europe Unlocked’s call for competitiveness in January 2024, and the Antwerp Declaration by major industries in February 2024 all highlighted the urgent need for a more business-friendly environment, a stronger Single Market, reduced bureaucratic burdens, more free trade agreements, and lower energy prices.“
European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME proposed an “Economy of Trust” during the SME2B Business Forum Europe 2024. This approach emphasizes trust among EU and national lawmakers, EU member states, and European institutions, as well as SME and Mid-Caps’ trust in the future of Europe.
