We are happy to inform you that our academy is a co-applicant in the Climate Change Grant Program (CCGP) with the action “Integrated Resource Management for Water Distribution System (ResourceWater4Hatay) in Hatay” Türkiye under the budget line 15 02 02 01.02 of the General Budget of the EU: Europe Aid/182996/ID/ACT/TR.
The lead applicant is Hatay Metropolitan Municipality and associate partners are the Union of Çukurova Municipalities in Türkiye and the Union of East Mediterranean Municipalities in Türkiye
The overarching goal is to reduce water losses, optimize energy consumption, and promote sustainable water practices in alignment with Türkiye’s climate change adaptation and mitigation priorities with the following objectives:
=> To address critical water management challenges in Hatay by implementing an innovative, integrated resource management platform for the urban water distribution system.
=> To develop and implement a smart water usage strategy incorporating AI and digital applications for optimized water distribution.
=> To reduce administrative water losses through enhanced monitoring, data management, and system restructuring.
=> To foster knowledge exchange and collaboration with EU municipalities and experts to integrate innovative smart city and water management solutions.
Our academy will offer expertise in smart cities and EU collaboration, support activities/training, and international study visits to Brussels, fostering cooperation with EU networks.
