On the 15th April 2021, EAR-AER organized an online meeting with Mr. Andi Davidescu – Manager of ETA S.A, Râmnicu Vâlcea, and Mrs. Simona Iliescu – Inspector of the local development department of Râmnicu Vâlcea Municipality, Romania.
We discussed the possibilities of introducing ecological technologies, such as hydrogen in the municipality’s public transport system.
The advantage of Ramnicul Valcea City is that it has a National Research and Development Institute for Cryogenic and Isotopic Technologies – ICSI Rm. Valcea that can supply hydrogen. Râmnicul Vâlcea City, capital of Vâlcea county, is building a strong reputation in managing the city in an ecological way, taking serious measures in order to reduce carbon emissions in the city and also by creating awareness for the climate change problem within its population.
The experts of our academy entered already in contact with Flanders Investment & Trade (F.I.T.) who will introduce them to two bus production companies who have hydrogen buses in their offer, and at the same time, will assist them in considering various financing solutions.
